WHEN SHOULD I CONTACT YOU TO HOLD A SPOT?
As soon as possible! I can never guarantee a slot when we are booked, in short, my studio only books 5-8 sessions a month. Booking such low volume gives me the time I need to be able to give my clients 100% of my attention, there is so much more than just taking beautiful portraits that go into the business. I typically recommend to book your maternity and newborn when you are in your second trimester.
MY BABY IS ALREADY A FEW WEEKS/MONTHS OLD, CAN WE STILL DO A NEWBORN SESSION?
Yes! We take baby’s of all ages. However, once they are over the 21 day mark they will be less curly and like their legs straight, be less sleepy, more sensitive to touch, so we most likely will not get the same poses you see here on our website. We will however get you some gorgeous images that you’ll cherish forever. Once they hit the two month mark we advise not coming until they’re 4 months so we can get some smiles and other milestones. However please keep in mind that is IF I have an opening. We stay booked out months in advance so I highly recommend booking ahead.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
Just show up! At my studio we provide everything you need, we have organic baby diapers, organic wipes, drinks, snacks, boppy pillow, and a comfy couch for you to rest on! An added bonus since my studio is located on our property, we have a mini farm for your kids to enjoy!
The only thing you will ever bring is something that you would like photographed with baby. I provide maternity gowns, all newborn props, and sitter-one year clothing!
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE SESSION?
The day of your session you will receive a time and date to come back to your reveal session. This is where you will see your photos for the first time and be able to order! We will be able to help you select prints, sizes, design album, and pick out gorgeous wall art!
WHY SHOULD I ORDER PRINTS AND PRODUCTS FROM YOU AND NOT FROM WALMART, COSTCO OR SHUTTERFLY?
I use the top and most world renowned print labs in the U.S. The color and quality of the products will match your photo exactly how it was taken and will hold up over time and for generations of your family to see. Digital photos will end up in a desk and never looked at, while having a nice piece of wall art for years to enjoy in your home will bring you happiness as you watch your children grow. Plus, we will do all the work for you! How many times have you said “I’ll get to ordering that next week” and then never do? We are a full service photography studio and will edit, design, crop to ratio appropriately (i.e. 8×10), order, package and deliver everything to you! We also know that this is a digital age and offer the corresponding digital for each product you decide to purchase for sharing on social media platforms.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AND HOW DOES ORDERING WORK?
When you are ready to book (which I suggest booking early as I typically book super quick), we will collect your retainer, contract, and set up your in person consultation. At this consultation we will go over in depth your session along with showcasing the product you will have a selection of. We do offer pre-orders at a 5% off gift.
When you come in and order, we help every aspect of the way so that you select something that is beautiful, timeless, and within budget. Most clients do typically spent $800-$2500 on fine art product. Some spend less, and some spend more, but that is an average ball park.
